The Permanent Secretary

Mahmuda Mamman, hails from Potiskum, Yobe State. He holds a B.Sc in Political Science from the University of Maiduguri. He started his Civil Service career in May, 1992 as a Personnel Officer II and rose through Promotion to the position of Director.

In the course of his career, he served in various Ministries including, the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Education, Federal Ministry of Health, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ministry of Defence, Federal Ministry of Transport and the Federal Ministry of Power.

Before his appointment as Permanent Secretary, he was the Director, Human Resource Management of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

Mahmuda Mamman was appointed a Permanent Secretary and sworn in by His Excellency, President Muhammed Buhari in August, 2020. He was the Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office (CMO), Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation between 20th August, 2020 – 13th August, 2021 and now the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health.
