the Host of the Council Meeting

Council on Health (NCH) Meeting
as established
by the National Health Act
,
(2014), serves as the apex platform for policy making in the
he
a
lthcare sector, faciltating dialogue,
experience sharing
and
discussions among key s
take
holders
to
advance our nation's health agenda
.
The theme of the 65th
NCH
is "Accelerating Pathways to
Universal Health Coverage: Strategies for 2030 Success" with the following
Sub-themes:

Health Workforce Development: Building
Capacity for Quality Healthcare Delivery in Maternal and Child Hea
l
th.
2.
Community Engagement and Health
Promotion: Empowering Communities for Better Health.
3.
Innovations in Digital Health:
Transforming Healthcare Delivery.
The National Council on Health
(
NCH) meeting is scheduled to hold from

The five day meeting is structured into
three parts namely:

ECHNICAL
S
ESSION:
The technical session receives and
deliberate on presentations at the plenary which are centered on the theme and
sub- themes of the meeting and thereafter continue with deliberation on all
memos submitted to i
t
for
consideration, This session
under
the chairmanship of the PSH
t
akes place on the fi
r
st
two
days of the meeting and make recommendation on its deliberations to the
Council.

E
VENTS
:
Presentations and Exhibi
t
ion
.
The third day of the meeting as well as
exhibition enables exhibitors to display their items, including but not
l
imited to medical equipment
,
new inventions
,
and many vendors showcasing different
types of items etc, around the meeting venue. This is often championed by the
Host State in collaboration with the Private sector, Development Partners and
Civil Society Organization.

OUNCIL
S
ESSION:
The council session under the
chairmanship of the CMH&SW receives and consider the memos recommended to
it by the technical committee and at the end of deliberation
,
Council adopts the communiqué for the
NCH.
PARTICIPANTS: About 800 - 1000 participants are expected at the 65 th Regular National Council on Hea l th (NCH ) Meeting .
