It was an opportunity to directly see the progress being made in these tertiary health institutions, listen to their challenges and assess how they align with the overall health agenda of @OfficialABAT for universal health coverage.
The cancer centre of excellence at UNTH, the ongoing surgical complex at the FOH and the drug rehabilitation services at FNPH are all geared towards serving Nigerians better and reversing the direction of medical tourism from outbound to inbound.
The newly established Federal University of Allied Health Sciences is also moving in the right direction to contribute to the production of middle level human resources for health for domestic and foreign consumption.
Also on Tuesday 6th, Dr Iziaq Kunle Salako virtually took part in the commissioning of 3 safety cabinets donated to University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital and University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital by the American Cancer Society.
